Rob Chiu et Chris Hewitt viennent tous les deux du graphisme imprimé, ils ont basculé au début des années 2000 dans la création de films animés et graphiques. Leurs courts-métrages sont des synthèses d’une culture graphique (mise en page, création plastique, typographie, travail sur le style) et cinématographique (raconter une histoire, avec l’image, le son, le temps, le mouvement). Ils racontent leur parcours, leurs intérêts, et explique leur association.


À propos de Rob Chiu
Chiu vit et travaille à Londres. Pendant 8 ans il a exercé dans le champ du design animé sous le nom de 'The Ronin', travaillant pour des clients tels que Leica, la BBC, Channel 4, idN, Hybrid Studios et Digital Kitchen. Ses court-métrages ont été présentés et primés dans de nombreux festivals tels que Edinburgh, OneDotZero et Resfest. Il a également participé à de nombreuses conférences pour des événements tels que Adobe Max, OFFF Barcelona, OFFF New York, OFFF Lisbonne, Flash on the beach, FMX, Toca Me et FITC Toronto, en même temps qui est régulièrement invité pour conduire des workshops dans diverses universités à travers le monde.
Inspiré par le cinéma, les voyages et la musique, Rob Chiu est perpétuellement à la recherche de formes narratives expressives et originales. Il est représenté à New York et aux États-Unis par 'Curious Pictures' et en Europe par l'agence parisienne 'Mr Hyde'.

Christopher Hewitt est un réalisateur, graphiste, et photographe autodidacte. Il vit à Londres où il travaille depuis 2000 pour des clients comme EMI Records, BBC & Discovery Channel. Ses courts- métrages expérimentaux ont été présenté dans de nombreux festivals et publications. Christopher est représenté à l'internationnal par "The Ebeling Group", par "Sehsucht" pour l'Allemagne et "552" pour la France.
